The following is a transcript for the episode "Ear Worm".
Script
(Poppy is holding pom-poms to cheer the Trolls on because it is Confetti-Fest.)
Poppy: OK, Trolls, who’s ready for… CONFETTI-FEST?! (Cannons shoot confetti as the crowd cheers.)
Smidge: (laughs) I can’t decide what I love most about Confetti-Fest.
Guy Diamond: Is it building confetti men? (Two male Trolls build a confetti man. It then falls, revealing three Troll children and they cheer.)
DJ Suki: Or making confetti angels? (A blue male Troll jumps into a pile and makes a confetti angel.)
Troll #1: Whoo! (A yellow male Troll joins in.)
Troll #2: Whoo! (A purple female Troll falls face-first into the pile.)
Troll #3: (groans) I’m OK.
Cooper: Or catching confetti flakes on your tongue? (He sticks out his tongue and many confetti falls on him as the Trolls cheer.) They have no nutritional value.
Smidge: (chuckles) It’s all just so good! Confetti-Fest is pure fun with absolutely no drawbacks! (She and the Trolls cheer again.)
Poppy: OK, Trolls, who’s ready for… cleaning up after yourselves?! (The music stops and the Trolls run away. DJ Suki, Smidge, Guy Diamond, and Cooper stay.)
Smidge: Oh, right. There’s the one drawback.
Poppy: As you can see on this chart, I’ve divided the village into color-coordinated cleaning sections. Each team just needs to tidy up their area, and we’re done! Wahoo! (The cannons shoot confetti again. Her friends just stay still.) Sorry. I’ll take care of that bit. (She sweeps some confetti onto a shovel with her hair. Then she feeds them to a bug. She takes out the pom poms again.) Clean, clean, clean, clean!
DJ Suki: (groans) This is the worst!
Smidge: Ah, it’s not so bad. We just have to accept that we’ll never have fun again. (DJ Suki, Cooper, and Guy Diamond sigh.) Wait. Yep, I just heard it. This is the worst!
Poppy: Oh, come on, gang. Let’s see that Troll can-do spirit. (She jumps in the air.) If your chores are feeling mundane, then I say find a way to make them… fun-dane! (Her friends still do nothing.) I’m off to my section. (She jumps backwards.) Clean! Clean! Clean, clean, clean!
Guy Diamond: You know, Poppy may have a point. Perhaps there is a way for the work to be more fun.
Smidge: (gasps) We could make it into a game! (She, Guy Diamond, DJ Suki, and Cooper cheer. They make an obstacle course to add fun to cleaning the confetti. Guy Diamond is going through it while the others watch.)
DJ Suki: (Through the microphone) It looks like Guy could go all the way! He’s through the Sweepers! (Guy Diamond is struggling to keep his balance on a log while holding confetti and falls into the water.) Aw! The Whirligig’s got him! (Cooper and Smidge gasp.) Oh, but wait! (Guy Diamond runs toward a tunnel slide and slides down it.) He’s taking the Fun Tunnel shortcut! (Guy Diamond soon reaches the end of the slide and rolls on the ground.) And… And… And… (Guy Diamond has dropped many confetti and puts one in a bucket.)
Guy Diamond: Ooh.
Smidge: Oh, my Guh.
Guy Diamond: Whooooo!
DJ Suki: Guy scores! Guy scores! Our total confetti score climbs to… (The sign changes to a 1.)
Smidge: What?! That’s all we’ve gotten done after four hours?!
Cooper: I spent three hours making that sign! (The sign falls to the ground and Guy Diamond groans.)
Guy Diamond: Face it! We were fools to think chores could be fun! Fools! (He groans again and walks away.)
Smidge: Yeah, let’s just go back to cleaning the old-fashioned, soul-crushing way. (She hears a harmonica playing a sad melody.) Guy? (Guy Diamond is playing a harmonica. A creature cries to it a Troll cleaning passes by.)
Troll #4: (singing) Soul-crushing cleaning.
DJ Suki: Wait, I know what we need. Some upbeat work music! (She opens a cover and a tape is revealed.) And I have the perfect song. (She picks up the tape.)
Smidge, Guy Diamond, and Cooper: Ooh!
DJ Suki: The catchiest tune I’ve ever written. I was experimenting with some new beats one night… (We go the past in her pod on a stormy night.) … when I realized I was creating a monster… hit.
Past DJ Suki: Tweak the tempo! Boost the bass! (A telescope thing comes out of the top of her pod.) Tonight, the music comes alive! ALIVE! (She cackles and lightning strikes the tape.)
DJ Suki: Turns out, lightning didn’t help, so I made this copy the normal way. (We go back to the present.) Observe. (She throws the tape into her Wooferbug and the music plays.)
(Voice)
Let go, oh-eh-oh
Let the music take control
Let go, oh-eh-oh
Let the music take control… (Cooper, Smidge, and Guy Diamond move to the music.)
Smidge: This song is so catchy.
DJ Suki: Uh-huh!
Guy Diamond: Let’s clean it like we mean it! (He and his friends cheer and start cleaning. Cooper cleans the confetti by spinning and Guy Diamond uses a broom.)
Smidge: (Doing a cartwheel) Yay!
DJ Suki: (As her Wooferbug cleans the confetti with its tongue) All right!
Guy Diamond: All right!
Smidge: Yeah!
Cooper: Whoo!
DJ Suki: All right! (After a while, the confetti are in a very tall pile.)
Cooper: (Chuckling while popping out of the pile) Yeah! (The sign shows that they had cleaned 3,101,275 confetti.) Hey, we’re finished!
DJ Suki: So, what do we do now?
Smidge: That depends. Can we keep listening to the song while we do it?
DJ Suki: Sure, why not.
Smidge: Then who cares?! (DJ Suki plays the song again. Two purple male Trolls are bored and sitting at a table.)
Troll #5: What have you got going on today?
Troll #6: Nothing. (The Troll on the left falls head-first onto the table. Just then, DJ Suki, Guy Diamond, Smidge, and Cooper appear listening to the song and they dance. At his pod, a blue male Troll is brushing his teeth while looking bored. The friends appear with the song and he smiles. Outside, an orange female Troll is cleaning her clothes slowly. Luckily, the friends arrive with the song and she dances to it. DJ Suki, Smidge, Guy Diamond, and Cooper play the song for the rest of the day. Later that night at Smidge’s pod, they are still playing the song. DJ Suki soon stops the music.)
DJ Suki: I’m exhausted. You guys OK to give this jam a rest?
Smidge, Cooper, and Guy Diamond: Sure! (They lie down.)
Smidge: Boy, what a great day! (yawns) That song is pure fun with absolutely no drawbacks. (As she goes to sleep, she hears the song in her head and one of her eyes open.) Oh, come on, DJ. We’re trying to sleep!
Guy Diamond: Enough is enough! Turn it off!
DJ Suki: It… It is off!
Smidge: Then why are we still hearing it?!
DJ Suki: (gasps) The song is stuck in our heads! (She and her friends scream. The next morning, the song is still in their heads. Guy Diamond and Smidge leave her pod.)
Smidge: No. (She covers her ears with a pillow.) No more! (Guy Diamond covers his ears with his hear. Cooper hits his head off the ground. DJ Suki puts on bigger headphones.)
DJ Suki: An entire night without sleep. Curse whoever wrote this song! (Smidge, Guy Diamond, and Cooper grunt.) Oh, right.
Smidge: (Throwing her pillow away) OK, let’s not panic. We’ve got to do something to take our minds off of it. (She and her friends go to the Troll Village market.) Maybe some shopping will help. (She goes to a brownie shop.) Four brownies, my good Troll. (The brownie shop owner shows some brownies and sings the song. The friends scream in terror.)
Cooper: W-What did you just say?
Troll #7: I said, “Sure. Take as many as you’d like.” (The friends back up whimpering. They then hear Rufus talking to Mags.)
Rufus: Now, I was saying… (He and Mags sing the song.) Howdy!
Mags: Hi there! (A Cuddle Pup comes over to the friends.)
All: Aw! (The Cuddle Pup sings the song and the friends scream and run away. They soon reach Creek.)
Creek: Hey, guys, have you seen the poster I made for my yoga class? (He rolls down a poster that says “Let the music take control”. The friends scream and back up again.)
Poppy: Guys? (Her friends gasp and shake in fear.) Is everything OK? (DJ Suki shows her the tape.) Wow. That is catchy. Let’s play it again!
DJ Suki, Guy Diamond, Cooper, and Smidge: No, no, no!
DJ Suki: If we do that, it will get stuck in your head, too! When I find the mad genius who wrote this song- (Guy Diamond coughs.) Oh, right. Again.)
Poppy: It’s OK, guys. I’m gonna take you to Dr. Moonbloom. She’ll have you back to normal in no time. (She and friends visit Dr. Moonbloom.)
Dr. Moonbloom: You’re done for.
All: Aw! (Smidge has a heart-beating plug on her chest.
Dr. Moonbloom: Next! (The friends leave and a light blue male Troll runs over to her with an injured finger.) You’re also done for. (The Troll groans and a red male Troll appears with a bird and branches stuck to his hair.) You’re also done for. (A purple male Troll appears with a yellow male Troll attached to his hair.) Done for. (Poppy soon meets up with her friends.)
Poppy: All right, we’ll just have to rely on home remedies. And I have a cure that works every time. (She opens a bush and a huge bug appears roaring loudly. Her friends scream in terror. DJ Suki covers her eyes while Guy Diamond and Smidge hug. The bug stops roaring and Harper comes out, revealing that it was just a costume.)
Harper: Feeling better? (The friends gasp and Cooper poops cupcakes.)
DJ Suki: W-Why did you do that?
Poppy: To scare the song out of you.
Smidge: (Still hugging Guy Diamond) THAT’S FOR HICCUPS!
Poppy: Oh, right. Trust me, on hiccups it works every time. (Cooper lets out a hiccup.) OK, time for drastic measures, people. Negative reinforcement. Every time the song comes to mind, you take a bite from… the onion cupcake.
Guy Diamond: The stakes have never been higher. (Cooper holds up a plate of steak and Guy Diamond drops it to the ground.)
Smidge: Poppy, this is ingenious. There’s no way I’ll think of the song if it means I have to eat that.
Cooper: Wait, which song again?
Smidge: You know… (She sings the song and gasps.) So be it. (She takes the cupcake from Poppy and the others groan in disgust.)
Cooper: Oh, I can’t look! (He covers his face with the steak. Smidge’s tongue slowly sticks out and goes back in her mouth.)
Smidge: You know, it’s not so… (screams) … bad! The aftertaste! (spits) It sneaks up on you! (She faints and screams.)
Poppy: I’m so sorry, Smidge!
Guy Diamond: WHAT HAVE WE BECOME?!
Smidge: (Getting up) OK, I did it. Now let’s see if it was worth it. (She puts her hand up to her ear and she still hears the song.) I can still hear it! OH, MY GUH!!!
Guy Diamond: Oh, forget it, guys. We’re just going to have to go through the rest of our lives hearing the same song over and over. End of story.
DJ Suki: Well, I guess if it’s gonna be one song, at least it’s a good one.
All: Yeah.
Poppy: No! I am not gonna let you give up, guys. (She starts dancing.) Now let’s see that cand-do Troll spirit! (She sings We Can Do Anything.)
(Poppy)

Poppy: Total accident! (She jumps in the air.) Yay! (She and her friends hug. At her pod, she puts a star on her victory chart.) Well, done, Queen Poppy. Well done. (She lies down on her bed. The song she sings gets stuck in her head.) No! No, no, no! NOOOOOOO!
